These furniture and cabinet making courses give our students the opportunity to realise their life-time dream of a career in furniture design, making and restoration. 

The Chippendale School furniture making course is essentially practical and hands-on with an opportunity to make your own pieces of furniture, with constant support from our expert tutors.

The syllabus also covers theory and furniture restoration with lectures from visiting experts, as well as field trips.

At our woodworking school you learn a great many techniques during what we call ‘Bench Skills’. In your first two terms we will teach you up to 80 different woodworking techniques at these hands-on, daily sessions.

You don't need to be an experienced woodworker to do our full time furniture design and cabinet making course. However, you do need enthusiasm and a passion for furniture making and woodworking.
